Alissa Dabrowski
Actor - Dancer - Singer
About me:
I am from the small town of Mattituck on the North Fork of Long Island. My main hobbies include painting, doing puzzles, and reading. I graduated from the University at Buffalo and hold a BFA in Theatre Performance. I also completed a minor in psychology, as I strongly believe that understanding the mind is a key aspect of acting.
I am a versatile and physical performer with a passion for comedy. While I may shine brightly on stage, I additionally enjoy bringing characters to life on screen. My recent stage credits include HTC’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Vibrata), NFCT's Spamalot (Featured Dancer), and RFCT’s The Addams Family (Wednesday). I was also featured in the 48 Hour NYC Film Project last year as Mary in Storybook Productions' John and Mary.
I had the opportunity to have Alan Zweibel as a mentor in college while working on his play, Bunny, Bunny, with the Arts Collaboratory. I learned valuable collaboration skills, gained experience using aerial silks, and learned how to make a stop-motion video. This is when I realized that comedic acting is my passion and then proceeded to binge-watch SNL and I Love Lucy, making Gilda Radner and Lucille Ball my idols.
